These Indian tribes speak Konda Dora which belongs to the Dravidian family language. The word Konda means hill and Dora means leader.

These tribes of India are divided into two sub groups namely- Pedda Kondalu and Chinna Kondalu. The former follow a lot of Indian tribal culture while the later are influenced by Telgu. These are amongst the popular tribes of India because of their close association with other Indian tribes.
